Syncing thousands of Shopify stores to their accounting taught us where the mess actually starts: not in the books, but upstream, in purchasing. Merchants were running restocks across a purchase-order app, a spreadsheet, a label app and a counting tool - none of which agreed with each other, and most of which charged by the purchase order.

So we built the app we thought should exist: a complete, end-to-end purchasing and inventory workflow - POs, receiving with real landed costs, counting, reordering, labels, alerts - in one place, easy enough to use on a busy shop floor. It's free. Our business is MyWorks Sync, which syncs a store's orders, inventory, purchasing and more into QuickBooks or Xero; merchants who want that subscribe to it, and everyone else just gets the app.

Stockroom got its start as the landing place for merchants leaving Stocky, and it's growing well past that into a Shopify-native inventory platform - deeper forecasting, purchasing intelligence, and the operational depth merchants currently leave Shopify to find. What doesn't change as it grows: your inventory stays in Shopify, and your data is never hostage.
